Padino helps clubs and players run padel tournaments, publish schedules, track results, and manage player history. This policy explains what data we collect, why we use it, where it is stored, and how account deletion works.
Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to run the app and provide tournament features:
- Account data: your sign-in method, user ID, email address, and basic account status.
- Linked-card account assistance: when your account is linked to a club player card, you may see your own sign-in provider and masked email hint. The club owner or an authorized club admin may see the same limited hint to help identify the correct account and assist with sign-in. For Sign in with Apple, we show Apple as the sign-in method and do not reveal an Apple relay address.
- Profile data: display name, player name, gender selection used for mixed-format team formation, profile photo, club membership, and player settings.
- Tournament data: registrations, teams, match scores, points, rankings, rating history, achievements, and club activity connected to tournaments.
- Public tournament results: when an organizer deliberately publishes a read-only QR view after confirming participant consent, full participant names, schedules, current matches, scores, groups, brackets, rounds, and standings may be visible to anyone who has that QR link. Opening this view does not create a Padino account.
- Cancellation reasons: when you withdraw from a tournament registration, you choose a reason from a short list and may optionally add a free-text comment. This reason is stored with your registration and is visible to the organizer — the club owner and club admins of that event. It is not shown to other members, to other participants, or to people who open a shared access link.
- Health and fitness data: when you explicitly allow it, Padino can read heart rate, active energy, step count, and workouts from HealthKit and can save a padel workout from Apple Watch.
- Community content: posts, comments, polls, partner searches, reactions, reports, and other content you choose to submit in a club community.
- Location and city: when you press “Use Current Location,” the app uses your device location to identify a nearby supported city. We store the selected city preference, not your precise coordinates. A city that you add to a public club, game, or event may be shown to other users.
- Payment coordination data: tournament payment status and payment instructions that a club organizer chooses to publish, which may include a payment link or bank-transfer details. Padino does not process, hold, or receive the payment itself.
- Device and notification data: device identifiers such as push notification tokens and notification preferences so the app can send relevant club or tournament updates.
- Authentication SDK data: Google Sign-In and Firebase may process account identifiers, device identifiers, and limited technical interaction or diagnostic data to provide sign-in, security, app functionality, and SDK analytics. Padino does not use this data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, performance traces, error details, and other technical diagnostics collected through Sentry and Firebase so we can investigate stability and reliability problems. When you are signed in, diagnostic events may be linked to your Padino user ID.
- Public QR metrics: aggregate counts of public tournament-page opens and taps on the sign-up or App Store buttons. These events do not include account IDs, cookies, advertising identifiers, or device fingerprints.
- Support communications: your email address, message, and any screenshots or other attachments you choose to send when you contact support.
How we use information
We use your information to:
- create and manage your account;
- show tournament schedules, teams, rankings, ratings, statistics, and shared tournament links;
- help clubs manage players, admins, registrations, and invitations;
- sync tournament data between the app and cloud mode when you use community features;
- show community content, coordinate tournament payments, prevent abuse, and process reports;
- let the organizer of an event see why participants withdrew, so they can fill open spots and adjust the event;
- suggest nearby cities after you deliberately request location-based city detection;
- send requested or relevant notifications;
- debug crashes, monitor performance, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable;
- respond to support, safety, account, and privacy requests.
HealthKit and watch data
Health data is sensitive. Padino requests HealthKit access only after you choose an Apple Health feature. Depending on the feature and the permission you grant, Padino can read heart rate, active energy, step count, and workout records, and the Apple Watch app can save a padel workout. These permissions are used only for the workout experience and your tournament health statistics.
If you enable Health statistics for your Padino profile, the app uploads derived tournament summaries to your private Padino account in Firebase/Google Cloud. Those summaries can include average, minimum, and maximum heart rate, active energy, steps, and per-round aggregates. Padino does not upload individual HealthKit samples or a raw heart-rate time series. The cloud copy lets you view your statistics across supported Padino devices.
We do not sell HealthKit data, use it for advertising, data mining, or marketing, or disclose it to data brokers or other third parties for their own purposes. Firebase and Google Cloud process the private derived summaries only to provide Padino's storage and synchronization. You can turn off Health statistics in Padino and change HealthKit permissions at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings. If permission is removed, future HealthKit reads stop, but derived summaries already saved in Padino may remain until you delete your account as described below.
Location
Padino does not request location merely because you open a discovery screen. Location is requested only when you select “Use Current Location” in a city picker. The device location is reverse geocoded to a city and discarded; precise coordinates are not retained or uploaded for this feature. You can instead select a city manually and can change location permission in iOS Settings.
Community safety and moderation
Padino uses a limited automated check to prevent some clearly abusive messages from being posted. Automated checks are not perfect. Community members can report posts and comments, block other users, and contact support. Club admins and Padino may review reports, restrict accounts, and remove content that violates the community rules or Terms of Service.
Round timer audio
When an organizer enables the round timer, Padino may keep an audio session active only while a round is running. This allows spoken warnings and timer signals to play while the iPhone is locked and through the selected audio output, including Bluetooth. Padino does not use the microphone, record surrounding audio, or upload audio for this feature. Disabling or stopping the timer ends the timer audio session.
Where information is stored
Padino uses Firebase, Google Sign-In, and Google Cloud services to process or store account, club, player, tournament, rating, community content, payment-coordination, image, notification, and HealthKit-derived app data. Crash, performance, and other diagnostics are processed by Sentry in the EU. Support email and attachments are processed by Google's email services. Data may be processed in locations where these providers operate, subject to their security and data-processing controls.
Sharing
Tournament, club, community, and payment-coordination information may be visible to club owners, admins, members, tournament participants, and people who open valid shared access links, depending on the feature and the audience selected. A public tournament QR view can show participant names and live or completed results to anyone holding the link, without requiring an account; it contains only names, scores, and schedule information—no photos, contact details, or health data. The organizer who publishes that view is responsible for having the participants’ consent and can revoke or re-issue the link at any time; ask the organizer of your event if you want to be removed from it. Do not publish sensitive payment details unless you are authorized to share them with that audience. Linked-card sign-in provider and masked email assistance details are limited to the linked user on their own card and to the club owner or authorized club admins; they are not shown in public player profiles or to ordinary club members viewing another player. The reason you give when you withdraw from a tournament registration is likewise limited to the club owner and authorized club admins of that event. Private HealthKit-derived summaries are visible only to the account owner and are processed by Firebase/Google Cloud to provide the feature. We do not sell personal information. We may share data with service providers that operate the app infrastructure, authentication, and support channel, such as Firebase/Google Cloud, Google Sign-In, Sentry, and Google email services, and only for the purposes described in this policy.
Deleting your account
You can delete your Padino account from the app. Account deletion removes the Firebase account and the personal user records connected to that account, including account profile data, notification preferences, saved push tokens, and user-owned health stats where applicable. We also remove club membership records tied to the deleted account and unlink player cards from that account.
Some tournament records may remain as dead or unlinked player cards so completed match history, scores, club rankings, and tournament integrity are not broken for other participants. These remaining records are no longer linked to your deleted sign-in account.
Retention
We keep information while it is needed to provide the app, maintain tournament history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, answer support requests, and enforce our terms. Diagnostics and support communications are kept only as long as needed for reliability, safety, support, and legal purposes. Deleted account data is removed according to the deletion process above, except for unlinked tournament history that must remain for other participants.
Your choices
- You can update your profile information in the app where editing is available.
- You can turn off Padino Health statistics in profile settings and manage HealthKit permissions in the Health app or iOS Settings.
- You can select a city manually instead of granting location permission, and manage location permission in iOS Settings.
- You can manage notification permissions in iOS Settings and notification preferences in the app.
- You can report community content and block or unblock community members in the app.
- You can disable the round timer to stop its background timer audio.
- You can delete your account from the account or club settings flow in the app.
Children
Padino is intended for padel clubs, organizers, and players. If a club adds player information for a minor, the club is responsible for having the required permission from a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes or when legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
